Full Title and Writer For Marvel’s Blade Reboot Revealed!

Since its announcement at Comic-Con 2019 we haven’t heard much about Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Reboot other than we will have Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali (Green Book) is set to star as the Blade, the role played by originally Wesley Snipes. Today it was reported that Stacey Osei-Kuffour‘s has been selected as the writer! She should sound familiar, she’s the writer of HBO’s “Watchmen” series, as well as, earned Emmy nominations for her work on Hulu’s comedy series “Pen15.” She was also part of the team for Amazon’s series “Hunters” that starred Al Pacino. Osei-Kuffour will hold the title of the first black female writer for a Marvel movie.

The character made its first appearance in 1973’s comic Tomb of Dracula No. 10 and has since become a fan favorite.  Blade was born part vampire after his pregnant mother bitten by a vampire while he was still in the womb. It is rumored that the films title will be, “Blade, the Vampire Slayer”.
